You certainly are spoiling your birds Kathy, but you are right, they probably need something extra in this hot weather. Well done you. Wonder how long the mealworm shortage will go on for. So strange that so many ignored them this year and now there is a shortage! Perhaps the birds knew something we didn’t.

Hi Sue
Don't think he comes as far as Dorset. He pressure washed our block paving a day or so ago with his shirt off!! Talk about a six pack Shocked . Didn't do my blood pressure any good. Now the neighbours want theirs done so that they can get another eye full!!!! Roll on the floor laughing
Anyway he is a good lad always gets my bird box down for me so I can clean it out at end of season so I intend to keep him employed! Very Happy

Well, a fledgling Sparrow hit my window this morning and landed on the roof extention. Thought it was dead but it's legs were kicking so after several attempts at rescue from the bedroom window with my old budgie net, which wasn't quite long enough, hubby got the ladder out and we then placed it in an old box. I have kept it warm and quiet & in the dark away from any stimuli but not sure it will survive. However, should there be an improvement I have my old budgie cage to release it into before going out to the wild again. Just hope it hasn't any neurological damage Sad

Will let you know outcome. Fingers crossed
