He could be, I think our blue tit male Mike was a new male this year. He was there at the females beck and call never seen a male so full on. He used to come in to feed her about 10 times in a hour etc.

I think the new ones are excited to get going where the old timers know how things work etc, That's what I have noticed off having camera's anyway.

The chicks are growing fast and baldybird and dad are feeding them all sorts of insects. She found the mini mealworms yesterday and is supplementing the other food.

Hot in the box. This is what baldybird does at night. Clever girl.

We're down to 5 chicks. The 6th died Friday night - was much smaller than the others. Both parents now feeding mealworms regularly. Chicks looking healthy Smile).

Sad news about one dying, Atleast the remaining 5 are healthy though. Good that both birds have found the mealworms too will be a great help.

Great news - this morning all 5 chicks flew the nest. Within about 5 mins of each other. I missed the first 4 going but saw the last go through the hole to freedom! Baldybird and hubbie are now feeding them in the surrounding trees. A success Very Happy Very Happy
