Bird Dotterel

When? Mid-April to Mid-May and Mid-August to Early October

Where High Hills, preferably near coast but inland too, shingle Beaches

Other Useful Info Ploughed fields, especially with chalky layer on, this resembles mountain tops. However other hills, clifftops, arable land and shingle covered areas are good, especially if they are high up

Scan ploughed fields and you could get lucky!

For Dotterel in spring check out the fields growing celery. Yup Celery. They grow it in Lincolnshire Fens quite a lot and often thats where the Dotterel were.
