We had a bit of a party the other week & as we went along I was doing the recycling, bottles in one bin & cans in another ETC. I was gathering all the plastic rings that you get on a pack of 4 beers ready for the bin & my Son in laws mate said don't you cut them first, I had not got a clue what he was on about so explained that birds & other wildlife get them caught around there necks & bodies, which I had seen pictures of before but never thought to cut the plastic rings before disposing of them, it only takes a minute & could save lives.

These plastic ring holders should be banned, I have seen some horrific injuries with wildlife before. Best to cut them up before dumping!! Thumbs up

Best thing to do is don't buy cans or anything that has these rings. Then hopefully they won't be produced, companies don't want their profits to go down so we can change by voting with our pockets. Good point though Snowy in the meantime. Very Happy
