Hello, first poster here. We have a thrush's nest above our French doors leading to the garden which seems to have been abandoned with two eggs in it. We were lucky enough to have seen the adults building the nest but haven't noticed any activity for a few days. Is this normal or should we start making arrangements for the funeral? Letting the family know, getting in touch with old friends, that kind of thing...

Hello Stephen, and welcome to the Forum.

It does sound as though the nest has been deserted, but I suppose it's (just) possible that the birds might be back. Maybe one of them has been caught by a predator, or met with an accident of some sort?
