Just another (Extremely Poor Quality) set of pictures I'm hoping can be Identified.
For the 1st pic, I'm thinking some sort of Warblerish Passerinish Bird. The size stumped me, look at it compared to a Starling! I'm not expecting a lot, the bird was so far away, grabbed through a scope and edited like hell! It caught my eye just because of its size. There were a lot of trees around (Chiffchaff?). I know of a Chiffchaff nest I self-found nearby.
A few local Birders popped down to the site and posted a few pics up of the bird and its chicks (A first nest in the town 'centre' for some years). One of the pics I saw was the Chiffy next to a Blue Tit, the size of our Chiffy was larger than the Tit, which put me off Chiffchaff, but I'm struggling to think of any other bird it could be. I also know of a neighbouring Chiffchaff nest in the moorland which technically is in the town, just very remotely out and most of Birds don't take their lives away from the reserve.
For pic 2, I'm unsure but would put a bit of cash on a Starling! |

Oh, no, that one is TOO hard. It took me ages to locate the bird!
(Sorry, I'm not casting asparagus on your photos...) _________________ >>>

I wouldn't be sorry, its ridicolously hard. I'm looking for a 'EXTREMELY' advanced, knowledgable and experienced Birder for this, if there is someone on the forum whose spent the majority of their life birding.
I have as little clue as you, but to me, it won't hurt having one ID missed out. I'm really begging for an ID on the thrush, I could have a lifer. Those posts are the ones I'm really worried about. |

No, can't you make out the pale belly with the darker spots. 2 experts told me song thrush on Surfbirds. That's the bright but blurry picture.
And yes, the image labelled Song Thrush2, the darker and less blurry picture does show a blackbird.
You sound good at your thrushes, I've got a different one from today if you think you can id it. I think it's mistle but I'm unsure.
What are your thoughts on the siskiny thingy? |

You mean this one?
First thought to me is Turdus pilaris (fieldfare), but it can be any other spotted-belly thrush, too.
BedfordshireBirder wrote: | What are your thoughts on the siskiny thingy? | It seems to have wing bar typical to Carduelis spinus (siskin). C. chloris (greenfinch) doesn't have that. Also, siskin is a typical spruce bird. _________________ Save the karri. |

I meant the picture on the other ID forum of mine which is labelled Song thrush2, that is a blackbird. The one labelled Song Thrush1 is a Song Thrush. 2 Experts confirmed that on surfbirds.
Are there any other possibilities for the siskin, or shall I go with it. |
