Hi, my great tit chicks have flown the nest, upon inspection I noticed a dead chick that I have removed. Should I also remove the nest?
Thanks Mark |

According to the RSPB, nest boxes may only be cleaned out between August and January. However, we would certainly remove any bodies as soon as the chicks had fledged, but I see no reason why the nests can't be left until later. We clean out ours in the autumn - late October or November, usually. _________________ Elizabeth |
