Not sure where to post this! With our cameras now idle, has anyone else considered making a hedgehog box with a cam in? I think hoglets are born in
June/July. They need access to gardens via tunnels under fences or gaps. I see them every week in my garden.

As the hedgehogs favour your garden ... do give it a try .... would certainly be of great interest. Do admire all you nest box camera boffins ... with your expertise ... congrats to all ........ I very much doubt I could master it ..... would have to inspan my eldest G.son ... perhaps for next season maybe .... ( I can make the boxes ... my garden almost festooned with them !!!! ) ... 2 used this year (Starling and blue tits). The Sparrowhawk female has arrived here....... !!!! I fear for the young Siskins ... which arrived here in my garden ... over a week ago ... but have feeders hanging under Norway Maple and shrubs. So fingers crossed Smile . There is lots of cover, in my almost wild garden !!

I'd love to watch your hedghogs, we get babies in the straw bales stored on pallets, no electricity at the stables so we can't try it, I do have a few photos of 'older' hoglets. Last year one got caught in the netting wrap on the bales, a sad lesson, I thought it was going to be ok but it died a few hours after I 'rescued it' , I now trim any loose bits when they're delivered.
