Hi guys,

long time no post! However, I've just seen an unusually coloured heron on the bank our local lake. It has dark gray wings when folded and a long creamy coloured neck. It doesn't look like an ordinary grey heron or even a purple one. Anyone got any ideas as to what it might be. I only had the mobile with me, so the photo I got may not be clear enough to identify it, but I'll try to upload it.

Regards,

Jan.

Well lets have a go for a Night Heron. Yes, it is a rare visitor, and mainly to S. Britain & Ireland. But there is always a slim chance of seeing one Wink

Thanks Paul, I did wonder but thought it couldn't be as I don't normally see rare birds!

Regrds,

Jan
