I wonder if anyone can confirm the identity of the bird in the attached picture. The bird is VERY noisy and goes from tree top to tree top around my garden. It looks too small to be a Mistle Thrush but if I knew that for certain I wouldn't be here So help, please, - any thrush experts out there ? Thank you in advance.

This is a song thrush - really the only other choice for a thrush at this time of year. The song is STRIDENT ( Very Happy ) with every phrase repeated - listen out for this tell-tale characteristic.

A few I.D. pointers for Thrush.

Song-Thrush.
Compact bird, fairly short tailed-with arrow head-spots.

Mistle-Thrush.
A large bird, long tailed-with rounded black-spots.
