Hello,
I have seen this duck next to a little lake where there were mostly mallards and coots. I noticed the white eye-rings, a less green head than usually seen in mallards, and was wondering if this can be found in mallards or if this is another species. Thanks

Another species it is, female of genus Aix, with that much eye-white I would say A. sponsa. Nice!

20 minutes a pound - 180 degrees - orange sauce or a nice gravy...............

Now that you're all going 'outrageous' - 'how dare he' etc

Only joking

Although maybe orange sauce with a Mandarin duck might be too much !
