Jan - thanks for that. I'd not been notified by the BBC Rolling Eyes Perhaps they've abandoned the Parakeets!

Wot after all your hard work helping them....shame on them if thats so!
Have to look at the BBC website to see what is covered?

Corinna - I've already done that but there's only info about the first 3 programmes and that's not extensive!! Time will tell and patience is a virtue Laughing

Right - an update.

I've just heard from my contact that the episode that includes Parakeets is to be screened on Friday 5 December - BBC 2 - 2.30 - 3.00 pm.

The new Radio Times just says this about Friday's programme:

Discovering how a spider spins a web -- -- presumably there will be some time left to show Tricia's parakeets!

Friday's episode shows numbers 24 to 21 of the Top 40 - more details here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/naturestop40/

Warning to Tricia! Rolling Eyes

There's also a short feature in RT, part of which quotes Chris Packham as follows - "All the spectacles in the series are on publicly accessible sites".

Lol C - however, I don't think it's my garden that's the spectacle - more what happened elsewhere!

The BBC has made great improvements to its programmes website - this is what it says about Friday's programme (so at least we should see parakeets somewhere):

14:3015:00 Nature's Top 40
Episode 5
Includes how the spider spins her web and what's making the skies turn green over London.

Parakeets this afternoon!

We're really enjoying this series, recording it and watching it in the evening. However, today I think I'll put my feet up in the afternoon and have a viewing session then. Very Happy

Just watching today's episode.

Well done Tricia - you stayed natural!

What a great program - Tricia , the Cranes , Marsh Harriers and Golden
Eagle.......followed by a Peregrine! Raptors!

Some great camera work!
Mine you falconers are the way to see them up close and personal.

But I do prefer to see them in the wild!

the spiders were good too!

I've just watched it this evening. Tricia, you were great! Very Happy It was fab to see the huge flock of parakeets, too. I was surprised to hear that they had been coming to your garden for such a long time I hadn't realised that.
