Puzzling Think

I don't seem to have any messages in my Bigg Bird folders.

I should have some in sent and received.

Any suggestions please. Razz

I'm sorry, terratoonie, but I don't understand your question, so could you explain what you mean by Bigg Bird Folders?

You should have a Private Message waiting in your Inbox, as I sent one to you this morning that you have not yet read, but I'm not aware of any other place where you might have any messages.

You can find all the messages you have posted on the Forum by looking at your Profile - here's a direct link to it:

Thanks for your prompt response. I'm not yet very familiar with email etc. so apologies if I ask some questions which seem odd ! Shocked

At the top of the forum page I sometimes see the headings Inbox, Sentbox, Outbox and Save box. I don't understand when I would expect to see anything in these as they always tell me the folders are empty.

Also, I don't understand what a BBCode is, even though I looked at your page of help for FAQ.

Seems like I might need a Bigg Bird page entitled FORUM ADVICE FOR BEGINNERS ! Rolling Eyes

Notice I've worked out how to use Emoticons ! Applause

Congratulations on your excellent Bigg Bird Forum. Very interesting.

When you click on You have no new messages on the fourth line down from the top of the page you sometimes get the headings you are referring to. (Though actually in your case you should see that you have a message, as you still haven't read the one I sent you).

These headings refer to Private Messages that have been sent to you but that you haven't yet read, messages that you have sent, messages you sent but that have not been read by the recipient, or messages that you have decided to save.

I don't know anything about BBCode either, but it hasn't bothered me so far! Laughing

Many thanks, Strixaluco. Very Happy

I'm sure I'll soon get more used to the technology. Shocked

I now find that I've been using BBCode all along! Rolling Eyes

If I want to type in bold, I just highlight the word(s) and click the B which shows a few lines above where I type a message.

Similarly I can choose to use italics or underline a word - or any combination of these - like this.

For added interest, I might choose a series of different colours.

To make things stand out even more, I can also change the size of the font!

If you click the Quote button (which enables you to type your reply, quoting my post) you can see how the code appears.

And finally......................

If you want to use the BBCode facility, you have to make sure it's enabled in your Profile.

Oh, I've also been using the BBCode !

Gosh we are clever !

Thanks, Strixaluco.

According to Wikipedia I've just noticed it is short for Bulletin Board Code.

I thought it was Bigg Bird Code. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
