This is over a month old now but anyway:

Oddie responds to 'Springwatch' criticism

Saturday, April 5 2008, 10:13 BST

By Daniel Kilkelly, Entertainment Reporter
Bill Oddie has hit back at "hurtful" criticism of his performance as presenter of Springwatch and Autumnwatch.

Oddie has attracted attention for frequently interrupting his co-host Kate Humble on the BBC nature programmes.

The presenter has now admitted that he thinks unfavourable comments made about his hosting style on internet message boards are unnecessary.

"Some of it is actually deeply hurtful," he told the Daily Record. "Kate hears more of what's going on in the background than I do. She knows more of what's going on behind the scenes. I don't realise that I'm interrupting."

Bill also revealed that working on the shows has started to spoil his enjoyment of the great outdoors.

"I've got to the stage where my work is taking the edge off the enjoyment," he explained. "I can't go for a walk without thinking, 'How would I film this? What would I say about that?'"

He doesn't realise he's interrupting? Is he five years old, or something? Rolling Eyes

Bill may have his moments but the show has given us some fantastic shots of nesting birds, and other animals, some of the the Scottish footage has been outstanding...I think I'd rather see the footage than miss it because of any irritation I might feel with the presenter, but I'm not sure I feel very much of that...

Er are you referring to us Martin? We had a phone call from the Beeb to say they were showing us again, but we didn't see it. *cringe* Even the kids are embarrassed about it now! Rolling Eyes

We haven't been watching this week, but decided to record it so that we could have a quick look later - so we whizzed through it yesterday evening until your starring role, Dawn. Laughing How long ago was it?
