Did anyone watch? I was thrilled to see the bit on Cardigan Bay and the dolphins. I've had the great pleasure of being out in our boat just about level with the point they were sitting on the cliff, which is a fish factory, and three dolphins came right up to us. An unforgetable moment. Smile

I've also seen them close in to the harbour once, leaping out of the water around where the boats are moored. I'm so lucky because New Quay is my nearest bit of coast, it's only 15 miles away, and they have the best fish and chip shop in the world up there. Very Happy

Malcolm put this into words for ne:

TiVo was one of the first Personal Video Recorders (PVRs) marketed in the UK. It enables you to specify individual TV programmes or series by name, and records them to an internal disk drive for later playback. It can store up to about 45 hours of programmes at "Best" quality.

They are no longer sold in the UK, though they are available second hand. Very few people in this country have ever heard of them! Crying or Very sad

Or for those in tune with current technology, TiVo is just like Sky Plus or the more recent Virgin offering V+ but it allows you to record from other sources such as analogue and digital TV. It also learns what you like to record and watch and starts recording similar things in it's spare time in case you forget to do this yourself.

TiVos are still available and are very popular in the US see http://www.tivo.com for info.

Going even more off topic, in case your TiVo learns the wrong thing about you here's an article on how to get it straight http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB1038261936872356908.html (pun intended).

Thanks John. I see I need to review my whole viewing experience if I'm not to miss Nature/Birding programmes in the future.
