Yes Pete I would think the website would be the place to try first.

Their nature programmes are mostly sorted in Bristol I think, but they do have Facebook and/or Twitter links on the website, so it could be a starting point.

Any more eggs?

Beechnut, yes we have a second egg.

So it starts all over again.
I put some more meal worms out this when I got back from work and they were both feeding the young, so she's definatly multitasking.

Gonna order another 1kg of mealworms tonight.

Beechnut, do you know roughly how long they feed the young after they've fledged?
Whoops you already answered this question in an earlier post.

Well folks this could be rather sad news, a fourth egg was laid this morning but she hasn't been back since 6.15 this morning and she's not in the nest tonight so i'm guessing something has happened to her or the male.

I will keep you updated if anything changes.

It might be just a change of heart on her part Pete but sad news anyway.
Let's hope she's okay even if she fails to return Sad

Don't know really know I'm not technical in that respect but I assume you have reduced them to fit the forum size requirements. The max is 256KB. Might be a problem if the camera photo size you are using for outside shots is different to your bird box camera. I have uploaded snaps today with no problem but always have to reduce those taken on my Olympus.

The photo's of the GT's outside sound nice so have you seen my calendar thread? We would like you to submit a photo for the calendar. There is no obligation to buy one. Let me know if you would like to participate.

Hi Kathy, i have taken these photos on hi quality Jpegs from a DSLR, if the maximum is 256kbs can you tell me how to reduce them from 4mbs and not lose image quality.

Pete
As you have probably gathered The Bigg website doesn't have the forum space for us to just put our photo's on without cropping them.
Unfortunately it is inevitable that you will lose some of the information by compressing the file, but in my experience it doesn't spoil the picture that much.

I reduce my files from 4MB to a specific size that works and now use it most of the time for this forum using the software programme that came with my camera. This is photofunstudio5. It can be downloaded from internet if you don't have one with yours. It's easy to use and once photo's are taken from camera into this programme all you do then is edit and you are free to make your attachment.

Using this software programme I have found through trial and error that reduced picture size 500 x 500 will upload successfully to the forum. You can experiment using larger dimensions than the above and see if it will upload to the site.
I also use the square format because any picture taken vertically seem to only be displayed horizontally, unless anyone can tell me to the contrary. Paul might be able to tell you a little more technical stuff as I suspect he grew up with this technology!!
Hope I have gone some way to help.
