Pete - I think yours were hatched the day before mine.

& Elle - I am expecting 'F Day' sometime on or after Friday.

It will become more evident when Flo doesn't sleep in the box and the parents start the food coaxing - bringing food in, offering it but not letting go, or feeding/offering from the nest box hole.
In the meantime the chicks will be doing lots of wing exercising and, in my case, flying up into the 'rafters' of the box as well as inspecting the outside world from the hole.

Here's a couple of snaps from yesterday....

Aw gorgeous pics Beechnut. Much as we want them to leave successfully, it's always a double edged sword because we are going to miss them too. They are beautiful.

Great pictures, You've done well with them giving live food etc. Should be proud of yourself watching them go known you helped in a small way.

Beechnut, Do you think yours will fledge about Friday. If they do mine are about 4 days later so may miss it as I am away until Tuesday night. Hopefully I may get it recorded.
Good luck with yours. I presume they are all still there.

Thanks Guys - I'm expecting the exodus sometime Friday-Sunday.

Yes Elle, it seems that the GTs are well in front of most Blueys for a change!

Here's pic of mine resting after lunch.

Hi Brian

With any luck yours might hang out until Wednesday morning, so you can catch them live - I hope so. Best of Luck. Nail biting

Yes Paul they are all dressed and nowhere to go - just yet.

They look like mini images of their parents.

My GT chicks are spread around the nest box this morning, preening and exercising - won't be long before they start having a look outside.

My guys and gals are all lined up preening and exercising most of the time now. There is just about enough room in the box for Flo to stay the night - whether she'll be there tonight, I'll have to wait and see - she's not in the box at the moment.

Flo and Ed have been trying to feed from the nest hole, without much success, so I think there is at least a couple of days left before the exodus.

I am having a problem with a spider's web that has been built between the camera and the nest, causing some light to be reflected back on the lens making the picture a bit hazy, as well as the web strands restricting the view.

I'm hoping that all the wing exercising might get rid of some or all of it before 'F Day'.

Oooooo it's so exciting, can't wait to see how all goes.

What's the weather going to be like near you in next couple of days, they may stay awhile if weather is forecast bad. I don't know
