Hey ya Only just read this as ive not been on the forum for a while Sad
I did a bat dissertation at University and the bat that you are likely to hear would have been a Noctual bat, the frequency it emits is at about 25 KHz which is a frequency that the human ear can pick up.

here is some information about them;

Hope this helps

Bats do make audible voices, too. When disturbed, they screech. Sometimes this audible voice comes from their teeth, sometimes from the throat. In next video you can hear this "throat singing" in the middle. In the end there's a recording of enhanced ultrasound. This Eptesicus nilssoni hibernated in our ground cellar.

On Tuesday night I heard bats again with bare ears:

Some ten bats were flying above a little river. Their chittering was audible to some 3-4 metres. With ultrasound detector there was a whole lot of rattling going on.
