We gave our older son a "squirrel resistant" peanut feeder a while back - he sent me these photos recently! Rolling Eyes

Hehe... Those darn squirrels are the master thieves of the wildlife mammals. I swear if you put a padlock on a seed container I-Catcher would catch them trying to pick it. Very Happy

My friend Zorro ( the one handed one from last year) has vanished recently after I heard him barking at the grey tom cat that was in the garden. I went out the back door and asked him "What's up?" and he barked at me then turned to where the tom was hiding (I hadn't seen him at that point). When I chased the cat out of the garden I turned to see Zorro speeding across the rooftops still barking. I'm guessing he was thinking "Sod that for a lark" as I haven't seen him since. Confused

They are cheeky too - this is what Simon said: They didn't seem put off even with my camera less than 2 feet away.

Try the fact that Zorro even fed when I was using a circular saw. The animals in my garden have got used to me working out there now and basically ignore me an my power tools.

Is it because they are more worried about feeding the young at this time of year?

I didn't know squirrels made a noise until to-day Embarassed

There was a magpie about and a wren and robin were alarm calling and then this squirrel was close by making a funny noise.

Heh... it's wierd isn't it... sounds like a cross between a cough and a sneeze. When I first heard it I didn't have a clue what it was.

Personally I think it's their version of swearing... Wink

Squirrel on our birdfeeder.

Feeder had run out of seeds - so this squirrel was eating the wooden feeder.
