Those of you who read my online diary will know that I has been filming in Shetland over the past couple of years. I have been working alongside my wife Marguerite and baby daughter Savannah.

Tune in to BBC2 at 8pm on Thursday the 4th of February for the first of Simon’s three part Shetland Diaries. I am really looking forward to seeing his encounters with the people, customs, scenery and above all, the wildlife of this magical place.

I fell in love with Shetland after one 2 week visit!

Really looking forward to these programmes and this one will be recorded as I know I'll be out on Thursday!

I came across the prog tonight by chance. Enjoyed it - gentle\amazing nature watching in fearsome\glorious weather. V. interesting prog. 8.5/10
