It's lovely to see the birds coming to eat the natural food in the garden.

I have a small Rowan tree, with light pink berries and I'm getting particularly Song Thrushes coming to eat them. I see Song Thrushes around but they don't come into the garden very often - so I'm particularly pleased. Growing up the trunk of the tree and spreading throughout the tree is a Pyracantha (one with orange berries). I have 4 Pyracanthas - 3 orange and 1 red berries. The orange ones seem to have many more berries than the red this year.

I've also recently planted a Black Elder, this also is full of berries that the birds love.

Earlier in the year I planted a handful of the sunflower hearts to see if they would grow!!! I got a variety of sunflowers from them - some 8 feet high to one that grew to 1 foot high!!! The squirrels have eaten the lot!!!!

Very Happy Very Happy
