Our House Martins in the Front single nest continue to produce eggs, and they now have five:

I continue to have trouble getting good shots of the chicks developing in the Side Double Left nest, but here they are:

Three four-day old house martin chicks

The two larger chicks have their heads towards the rear of the nest, and the third is lying sideways across the centre - looking very much like the feathers that line the nest, in this black and white picture.

Yesterday, all four eggs in the Front Double Left nest hatched Very Happy
The bad news was that it poured with rain for most of the day, so the martins were somewaht restricted in their feeding.
However, today things are looking really good, and here are a couple of images:

You will notice that at this stage the parents have not discared the shells, which is most unusual.

There is still plenty of action here, with three of the five nests in use, and eggs being incubated in two of them...
