I've been from LA (which is Louisiana, as everyone knew) to Brazosport area. One coastal highway there is now closed as it is sinking in the Gulf. Padre Island is one place I would have like visited.

Lots of these areas are suggested for winter and migration.

so if your home is just miserable in November, you can bird in Texas. Watch our for ex presidents hitting golf balls or driving big black SUVs.
